Wren & Ivory
Craftsmanship
How the jewellery is made, and why it takes as long as it does.
At the bench
Sheet and wire are annealed until soft, then formed over steel and wooden stakes. Texture is added with hammers, chasing tools and a rolling mill.
Finishing
Filing and sanding through progressively finer grits takes longer than the making itself. It is the difference between something handmade and something that merely looks it.
Materials
We work with recycled 9ct gold, 14ct gold fill and recycled sterling silver. Offcuts are kept and remelted; packaging is plastic-free.
